Giving Back To the Community
Linda also believes in giving back to the community, out of gratitude
for the many blessings and gifts in her life. One of the ways in which
she gives back is in decorating for church celebrations, and for
funerals, the celebration of a life, at her church, Church of the
Epiphany (Anglican) in Herndon, VA. She also participates in the WINGS
ministry, which supports our deployed military, state dept. and
humanitarian workers serving in dangerous parts of the world.

The photos at the top of the page are from the refurbished USO
Lounge at Ft. Belvoir, an IDS chapter service project in 2007.
Linda Bassert received a commendation from the Metro DC chapter of IDS
for her donation of the materials and expertise for the window
treatments used in the refurbished USO Lounge at Ft. Belvoir, an IDS
chapter service project in 2007. Ona wrought iron drapery hardware for
the project was donated by Creative Treatments, Inc. Using inherently
flame retardant fabrics from Michael’s Textile and ADO, the drapery and
valance fabrication was donated by Olde Town Window Works in
Fredericksburg. Masterworks Window Fashions & Design, LLC is grateful to
our partners’ contributions in providing window treatments for this
service project.
